David Tennant to Stay for Full Season |

According to an article posted by Digital Spy, Russell T. Davies has stated that David Tennant will stay for the entire 4th series and not leave after six episodes as eluded to in the tabloids.
Davies, however, did not indicate whether or not David Tennant would be around for Series 5, but mentioned that there may be a 2008 Christmas special.

Digital Spy reports that Joan Collins may be playing the part of the Rani in season 4. Originally portrayed by Kate O'Mara in 1985's "Mark of the Rani" opposite Colin Baker and in Sylvester McCoy's debut story "Time and the Rani" in 1987, the Rani is another enemy Time-Lord (Lady) that may have escaped the destruction of Gallifrey.
This report of Joan Collins playing the part of the Rani, and also the return of the Rani in general have not been confirmed by the BBC.

According to the Official Doctor Who website, Doctor Who Magazine issue #386 will contain information regarding the one-offedness of Doctor Who Christmas specials.
Russel T. Davies explains about how the individual nature of Christmas specials promote Doctor Who popularity and makes mention of certain aspects of Donna's character in the next season as well.
